This Privacy Policy explains:
- what information we collect;
- how we collect information;

1. ABOUT Nearby Remodelers
Nearby Remodelers provides marketing, consumer inquiry, lead-generation, lead-matching, and referral services.
Nearby Remodelers is not itself a home improvement contractor and generally does not perform the home improvement, installation, repair, remodeling, solar, roofing, windows, siding, HVAC, bathroom, kitchen, plumbing, flooring, gutter, door, handyman, painting, deck, walk-in tub, or other services advertised or requested through the Sites.
When you submit a request for information, an estimate, quote, consultation, or service through our Sites, we may use the information you provide to identify and connect you with one or more third-party marketing partners, service providers, contractors, dealers, installers, aggregators, lead buyers, or other businesses that may be able to respond to your request.
We refer to these businesses collectively in this Policy as “Marketing Partners” or “Partners.”
Partners may in turn connect you with or disclose your information to contractors, installers, dealers, service providers, or other companies capable of responding to your request (“Contractors”).
Partners and Contractors are independent third parties and are not controlled by Nearby Remodelers.
2. SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Data that Nearby Remodelers collects when you:
- visit or interact with our Sites;
- submit a form;
- request a quote or estimate;
- request information about a product or service;
- call a telephone number displayed on our Sites;
- communicate with us by telephone, email, SMS, web form, or other means;
- interact with advertisements or landing pages associated with us;
- interact with cookies, pixels, scripts, or similar technologies deployed through our Sites; or
- otherwise provide information directly or indirectly to Nearby Remodelers.
This Privacy Policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of Partners, Contractors, advertisers, analytics providers, social networks, websites, platforms, or other third parties that we do not control.
Once Personal Data has been lawfully transferred to an independent Partner or Contractor for its own purposes, that entity’s collection and subsequent use of the information may be governed by its own privacy policy.
You should review the privacy policies of those third parties.
3. DEFINITIONS
For purposes of this Privacy Policy:
“Personal Data” or “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked directly or indirectly with an identified or identifiable individual or household.
These terms are intended to include substantially equivalent terms used under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
Personal Data generally does not include information that has been lawfully:
- deidentified;
- anonymized;

- made publicly available from government records; or
- otherwise excluded from the definition of Personal Data under applicable law.
“Processing” means any operation performed on Personal Data, including collecting, recording, organizing, storing, analyzing, modifying, retrieving, using, disclosing, transmitting, selling, sharing, deleting, or otherwise handling Personal Data.

Certain disclosures made by Nearby Remodelers may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising” under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
In particular, when you submit a request for a quote or service, we may provide Personal Data associated with your inquiry to Partners or Contractors.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, Nearby Remodelers may receive compensation in connection with providing leads or consumer inquiries to Partners.
Accordingly, certain transfers of Personal Data to Partners may qualify as a “sale” of Personal Data under one or more state privacy laws.

11. DO NOT TRACK AND UNIVERSAL PRIVACY SIGNALS
Browser “Do Not Track” Signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” or “DNT” signal.
Because there is not a uniform legal or technical standard requiring a particular response to ordinary DNT signals, we do not necessarily respond to ordinary DNT signals unless required by applicable law.
Global Privacy Control and Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms
This is different from legally recognized universal opt-out preference signals.
Certain state privacy laws require covered businesses to honor qualifying browser-based opt-out signals or Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms (“UOOMs”).
Where required by applicable law, Nearby Remodelers will recognize and process legally valid universal opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), as a request to opt out of applicable:
- sale of Personal Data;
- sharing of Personal Data;
- targeted advertising; or
- other processing to which the recognized signal legally applies.
A GPC or similar signal generally applies to the browser or device through which the signal is communicated.
If you use multiple browsers or devices, you may need to activate your privacy signal separately on each browser or device.
Where permitted and technically feasible, if we can associate a recognized signal with your identity or account, we will process the signal in accordance with applicable law.
12. TRUSTEDFORM
We use ActiveProspect’s TrustedForm technology on certain forms or pages.
TrustedForm is used to independently document a consumer’s interaction with a web form and evidence the circumstances surrounding the consumer’s consent to be contacted.
When TrustedForm is present, the technology may collect information such as:
- page URL;
- IP address;
- timestamps;
- browser information;
- information entered into a form;
- mouse movements;
- clicks;
- page interactions;
- a snapshot or representation of the page;
- HTTP headers; and
- other technical information associated with the form submission.
This information may be used to create or associate a TrustedForm certificate with the consumer inquiry.
We use this technology for purposes including:
- documenting consent;
- compliance;
- fraud prevention;
- dispute resolution;
- quality assurance; and
- maintaining evidence concerning a consumer’s request.
TrustedForm is provided by a third party and is also subject to that provider’s applicable privacy terms.
13. JORNAYA / LEADID
We may use Jornaya’s LeadiD technology on certain forms or pages.
LeadiD technology may collect technical and interaction-related information, including information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- Internet service provider;
- referring and exit pages;
- platform or device type;
- timestamps;
- clicks;
- page activity;
- user interactions; and
- other information relating to a site visit or form submission.
The technology may generate or associate a unique identifier with the consumer’s interaction or lead.
We may use this technology for purposes including:
- documenting consumer interactions;
- validating lead origin;
- fraud detection;
- quality assurance;
- compliance;
- maintaining consent records; and
- resolving disputes.
Jornaya/LeadiD is provided by a third party and its processing may also be subject to that provider’s privacy terms.
14. TELEPHONE, TEXT, AND EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS
Where you provide a telephone number or email address and consent to communications, we and/or the Partners identified or described at the point of collection may contact you regarding your request.
Depending upon the consent language presented when you submit your information, communications may be made through:
- telephone calls;
- SMS or MMS text messages;
- email;
- prerecorded voice messages;
- artificial voice;
- automated dialing technology; or
- other legally permitted communication methods.
Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive marketing calls or text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services where applicable law requires that disclosure.
The specific consent presented with the form through which you submit information controls with respect to that submission.
15. MARKETING OPT-OUTS
You may opt out of marketing communications from Nearby Remodelers.
You may use the unsubscribe mechanism contained in a marketing email or contact us at:
SMS/Text
You may use the opt-out instructions contained in the applicable SMS communication, such as replying STOP, where supported.
Telephone
You may tell us during a telephone call that you do not wish to receive further marketing calls from Nearby Remodelers or request placement on our internal Do Not Call list.
You may also email:
and provide the telephone number that you want added to our internal Do Not Call list.
Because Partners and Contractors are independent businesses, an opt-out submitted to Nearby Remodelers does not necessarily remove your information from the independent databases or internal Do Not Call lists of every Partner or Contractor that previously received your inquiry.
You may need to contact those businesses separately.
We may retain limited suppression information after an opt-out to help ensure that your preference continues to be honored.
16. DATA RETENTION
We retain Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate to accomplish the purposes for which it was collected or processed, taking into account:

- maintain records;
- resolve disputes;
- conduct compliance reviews;

- comply with applicable law.
Consent and Compliance Records

Call Recordings
Where calls are recorded, recordings may be retained for a period reasonably necessary for:
- quality assurance;
- compliance;
- legal purposes;
- dispute resolution; and
- recordkeeping.
Certain recordings may be retained for up to six years where reasonably necessary or legally appropriate.
Cookie and Online Activity Information
Cookie-related information may be retained according to the duration of the applicable cookie or technology and our business needs, subject to applicable law.
Marketing Suppression Information
We may retain limited information regarding an unsubscribe or opt-out for as long as reasonably necessary to ensure that the preference continues to be honored.
We periodically review retention practices and may delete or deidentify information when it is no longer reasonably necessary.
17. DATA SECURITY
We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect Personal Data against:
- unauthorized access;
- unauthorized disclosure;
- loss;
- misuse;
- alteration; and
- destruction.
Security measures may include, as appropriate:
- access controls;
- password protections;
- encryption technologies;

However, no Internet transmission, network, database, storage system, or information security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You provide information electronically at your own risk.
18. CHILDREN AND MINORS
The Sites and services are intended for adults.
Nearby Remodelers does not knowingly solicit Personal Data from children under 18 through its standard home-services lead-generation services.

Review the privacy policy of any third-party website before submitting Personal Data.
